We are looking to hire a new Desk-Based Business Acquisition Manager to join our SMB team, based at our Head Office. MID Communications are the largest independent Franchise of O2, operating with 15 stores, our Head Office and Contact Centre, operating locally within several communities across Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside and the Fylde coast. Are you a dynamic and driven individual?
As Desk Based Acquisition Manager at MID Communications Ltd you will be responsible for gaining new sales acquisitions through self-generation of your own leads. In addition, you will deliver on an effective and precise account handover process by building internal relationships with the Account Managers, which will provide the customer with a smooth implementation process. The role has several career progression opportunities, including working in the field developing business.
Reporting to the Head of Business Sales and Retention, the role requires a passion for working in a targeted and challenging environment. You must have enthusiasm for adding value to each new customer by introducing an effective personal solution, enabling our customers to have one supplier and one bill for all their communications.
You must be determined, constantly seeking new opportunities and acquiring new data with the aim of increasing our customer base and revenue in the SMB team.
This role requires frequent contact with people, including face-to-face and/or by phone and email, therefore a working knowledge of MS Office is required.
That’s me! What will I be doing day to day?
Manage and grow your own leads and opportunities, ensuring those customers are correctly contacted ensuring information is accurate and reviewed.
Self-generate your own leads through prospecting using all means i.e referrals, Social media, online networking, web
Maintain a high quality customer experience during new business acquisition
Conduct virtual promotional activities to create engagement with both O2 and MID Communications, to increase brand visibility, using social media platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter
Establish effective relationships, both internally and externally, through virtual networking opportunities to create social selling opportunities
Collaborate with the Account Managers and Contact Centre Team regarding access to new opportunities and leads MID Communications provide, to ensure consistency for all customers
Conduct regular competitor and market analysis to remain competitive within the market
Demonstrates commercial acumen by understanding O2 portfolio and wider telecommunications industry, to share your knowledge and prepare quotations for customers needs, presenting these to customers effectively
Proactively explores for new business acquisition, looking for opportunities with the right people in the right businesses to generate revenue and increase business customer base
Manage the whole sales lifecycle and liaising with teams internally to ensure customer satisfaction.
Sounds great, what skills do I need?
Excellent experience and knowledge of working in B2B Sales, Telesales and with a CRM system
Excellent experience of working with social media platforms to promote business brand
Have a proven sales ability within a desk based or related environment
Have passion for the role, the business and tech products and services we sell
Communication, commercial awareness of the Mobile Industry, use of initiative, proactive attitude
Proven ability to drive incremental revenue and create new relationships
Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and Office

Demonstrates excellent experience and knowledge of working in B2B Sales within a Telecoms environment
