Wigan Athletic Football Club

Wigan Athletic prides itself on its roots at the heart of its community. Established in 1932, the club’s significance to the development of the town of Wigan is largely unrivalled. After years of non-league football, a battle to enter the Football League and retain league status, the investment of Dave Whelan in 1995 transformed the club, with the opening of the JJB Stadium (now DW Stadium) in 1999 a paramount step in the club’s large development over the next two decades into a Premier League club and the 2013 FA Cup winners.

Commercially, the club’s home is the hub of the area’s business community. The attention the Stadium receives from Wigan Athletic and the club’s Rugby League team Wigan Warriors puts hundreds of thousands of focused eyes on the DW every year.

From hospitality to advertising to sponsorship to events, we have all bases covered – our team would only be too happy to help you!

If it’s hospitality you’re looking for we boast a range of fantastic catering facilities and our packages vary to assist your budget. From the historical core of our Springfield Lounge to the glamourous Champagne and Heineken Lounges, our offerings are wide-ranging. We would say the best way to impress your friends, colleagues or clients is with one of our private boxes, tailored to meet your needs and including food and drink in the VIP package – they’re a top seller!

Wigan Athletic have a variety of advertising opportunities available for businesses of all sizes to benefit from. A player sponsorship package includes branding on your chosen players dedicated web page, a signed and framed shirt, Champagne Lounge hospitality for the game of your choice, the opportunity to meet your chosen player and inclusion in every match programme for the season – for a Latics supporter with business interests, it’s just perfect!

A small number of high level advertising sites are available to hire in the North and South Stands, priced from £1,000 plus VAT on an annual basis. All boards in these locations remain in situ for both football and rugby matches, along with any other events at the DW Stadium, allowing for year round exposure to visitors to the DW Stadium.

Large scale seat banners are a high impact media opportunity, with a small number of locations remaining available. Owing to the size of the banners, you could highlight your brand with one of the benefits being almost certain television exposure on Sky Sports and Channel 5.  All of the different media can be brought together to build tailored packages to suit your exact requirements. We can assist with design and production of your advertisement, and would be happy to welcome interested parties to the stadium to talk through all of the options.
